These Terms & Conditions govern your use of www.treeremovalservices.co.nz (“the Website”), operated by Online Leads Direct as Tree Removal Services NZ. By using the Website or submitting an enquiry, you agree to these terms. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.

Nature of the Service

We provide an enquiry and referral service connecting people seeking tree removal, pruning, stump grinding and related tree work with independent businesses. We do not perform tree work, employ the contractor’s staff or supervise work on your property.

When you submit a quote request, we look to match it with a suitable tree service company covering your area. Our normal approach is to send the enquiry to one suitable company, subject to availability. A referral, response or quote is not guaranteed. If we need to arrange a different referral after your details have already been shared, we will contact you before passing them to another company.

Your Quote Request and Personal Information

By submitting a quote request, you authorise us to use and share your contact details, job location and relevant job information with a suitable local tree service company so it can contact you about the work and provide a quote. Please provide accurate details, only submit genuine enquiries, and obtain permission before supplying another person’s information. Contact us if you need to correct or withdraw your enquiry.

Quotes, Work and Payments

Submitting a quote request through this Website is free and does not oblige you to accept a quote. The independent company decides whether it can assist and sets its own prices, availability and terms. Agree any assessment or call-out charges with the company before booking a visit.

Any contract for tree work is between you and the company you choose. Confirm the scope, price, timing, waste removal, payment arrangements and any required permissions directly with that company. Check its qualifications, experience and insurance before proceeding. A referral is not a guarantee of credentials, workmanship or suitability.

How the Website Is Funded

Tree service businesses may pay us to receive enquiries in an agreed area. We do not collect the customer’s payment for tree work or receive a commission based on the value of completed work. Business trial and subscription arrangements, including price and coverage, are agreed separately. An application to join is not a paid subscription.

Availability and Urgent Work

Coverage, service types and contractor capacity vary by area. We cannot promise a response time, an available contractor or a particular outcome. This Website is not an emergency response service. For an immediate danger, contact the appropriate emergency service or utility provider rather than waiting for a response to a quote request.

Responsibility and Your Legal Rights

Independent contractors are responsible for their own quotes, conduct, work, insurance and legal obligations. Raise issues about the work directly with the contractor. You may also tell us about a concern with a referral so we can consider it when administering our service.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for losses arising from work performed by an independent contractor. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, including rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, Fair Trading Act 1986 and Privacy Act 2020.

Website Information and Interruptions

Website information is general information, not a site-specific tree assessment. We aim to keep it accurate but information and availability can change. Technical faults, email delivery issues or events beyond our reasonable control may interrupt the service.
